  • September 27th-LaGrange Symphony Orchestra’s opening concert of the 2016-2017 season, AIR. Includes music by Walton and Elgar and features the world premiere of “Concerto for Flute and Orchestra”, composed by LSO Music Director and Conductor Richard Prior. Renowned flutist Jonathan Keeble will perform with the LSO.   • October 1st: The 10th Annual Dunson Mill Village Reunion will be held on October 1 at First Methodist Church, 401 Broad Street. Lunch will begin approximately at 11:30 am.   • October 1st: Georgia Alabama Region AACA 35th Annual Antique Auto Meet will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 9 am – 2 pm at LaGrange Mall. Pre-registration, $15. Day of Show, $20. Benefiting St. Jude Hospital and Heart of West Georgia. People’s Choice Award and Money Tree. 50/50 Raffle, Door Prizes.   • October 4th: The LaGrange Police Department will be hosting its first annual National Night Out Event on Tuesday, October 4 from 5 pm – 9 pm in the parking lot of Beechwood Furniture at 110 Commerce Avenue (behind Chic-fil-A). This is a night when neighborhoods throughout LaGrange are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 33rd Annual “National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. The idea of NNO is to get the community to join with law enforcement to prevent and combat drug and crime problems, strengthen neighborhood relationships and show the criminal element that the community stands united with the police against crime.

  • October 22nd: Ageless Grace® Seminar and Educator Certification will be held October 22 & 23, 2016 at The Active Life Recreation Center for Adults 55+ in LaGrange, GA, is hosting professional Certification in the Ageless Grace® program for brain and body, on Oct. 22 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) &/or Oct. 23 (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.), facilitated by Sandy Bramlett, International Ageless Grace® Trainer/Educator. The public is invited to a free 30 minute ‘community class’ on Oct. 22, 12:30-1:00pm, and Oct. 23, 12:00-12:30pm.   • 1st And 3rd Tuesday Of Each Month: Troup County Commission meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. at the Troup County Government Center with the work session being the Friday preceding.

 

  • 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Gus Valeri Memorial Chapter 31, 140 Ragland Street (Active Life Center), LaGrange, GA 30241 will hold their meetings every 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.

 

  • 2nd and 4th Tuesday: The LaGrange Shufflers Square Dance Club dances from 7:30-9:15 pm at the Troup County Active Life Center at 140 Ragland Street. Vistors are invited to dance or view the square dancing with caller Chris Michaelson. For more information call 706-884-4974.
