Daniel Oree Williams
Mr. Daniel Oree Williams was born August 21, 1935 to the late Tom Williams and Cora Kelley Williams in Abbeville, Alabama. Mr. Williams was united in Holy Matrimony to Gloria W. Williams and this union was blessed with five children. He was employed at Signal Knitting Mill for many years until his health declined. “Oree” as he was well known, was loved and liked by many people within the community. On Saturday, October 3, 2015, his earthly journey was completed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; stepmother, Willie Rae Williams; son, Gerald O. Williams; granddaughter, Alisha Williams; father and motherin- law, Rev. Ned and Elroney Williams; one brother, Thomas Earl Williams; sisters-in-law, Charlie Williams, Gladys Anderson, Theresa Williams; brothersin- law, Ned Williams, Jr. and Lou Arthur Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted children, Kenny (Theresa) Williams, Glenda (Darren) Ligon, Renae (Terrance) Dowell, all of LaGrange, GA; Angela (Lemont) Foster, Franklin, GA; 15 grandchildren, Amber (Eddie) Clark, Kansas; Jerrod Hurston, Destiny Davidson, Randy Williams, Cierra Williams, Artavious Williams, Kendra Williams, Kenny Williams, Jr., Lakiesha Williams Terrance Dowell, Jr., Teneshia Dowell, Jasmine Jackson, Khandace Foster, all of LaGrange, GA; Arneshia (Kendall) Mack, Jordarius Foster, Franklin, GA; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James D. Williams, Tampa, FL; Charles R. Williams, Johnny C. Williams, both of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Martha Ann Williams, FL; Elaine (Spencer) Person, Nettie (Charlie) Wiggins, Atlanta, GA; Mary (Arthur) Mahone, Eufaula, AL; four sisters-in-law, Grace (James) Davis, Elnora (Ben) Pierce, Ruth Williams, Barbara Williams, all of Eufaula, AL; three brothers- in-law, Earnest Williams, Bobbie Anderson, Eufaula, AL; Aaron Williams, Dothan, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life Service was held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Confidence Baptist Church.
