• January 14: LaGrange College’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance. The senior pastor of historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta and a longtime champion of civil rights will be the speaker for LaGrange College’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance. The Rev. Dr. Raphael G. Warnock will deliver his address at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Callaway Auditorium, 801 Dallis Street in La-Grange. The event is free and open to the public. • January 16, 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM: Pure Life Studios presents Travis Meadows! An intimate night with Travis Meadows will be an experience music lovers will always try to recapture. • January 19th: Tai Chi for Diabetics! Starting Tuesday, January 19 at 9:30 a.m., Certified instructor Valerie Duke will teach this 6-week class for adults 55+ with diabetes. • January 19th: Reptile Program! Jason Clark, from Southeastern Reptile Rescue, will bring along various reptiles including a variety of snakes and an alligator, while sharing an entertaining and educational program on Tuesday, January 19 from 5:30-6:30 PM. Family friendly event! Refreshments provided after program. Program will be offered in the Fackler Room at LaGrange Memorial Library. Free

• Now – February 6, 2016: Mirror Mirror. In partnership with Hills & Dales and the Legacy Museum, this exhibit will link the Museum as a community participant in the year-long celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Callaway family home. Featuring portraiture-mirroring-portraiture, this unique exhibit will compare photographs with paintings, taking a look at portraiture across centuries and cultures and will include some of Troup County’s best known citizens as well as some of its unsung. The upper floor of the Museum will feature a retrospective of Signe Gruschovenko’s contemporary twist on portraiture. www.lagrangeartmuseum.org

• February 16: Environmental Update! • Now – March 7: Diabetes Workshop! This is a 6-week class taught on how best to manage your disease. Class will be held on Mondays: 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 2/29, 3/7. There will not be a class on 2/15 due to President’s Day. Informative meeting on Mon. 1/11/16 at 1:00 p.m. Class begins on Mon. 1/25/16 at 1:00 p.m. at The Active Life Wellness Center. • Now – May: Pre-K Story Hour at Hawkes Children’s Library, 100 W 8th St, West Point, GA 31833 will be on Friday’s from 10:30 – 11:30. Themed stories, games, and crafts for three to five year olds. Many homeschool families attend! Point University students practice storytelling.

• Now – May: Hawkes Library, 100 W 8th St, West Point, GA 31833, Jr. Friends will be held on alternate Wednesday’s from 4:00 – 5:00. There will be snacks, games, and crafts featuring excellent children’s literature for elementary-aged-kids. Point University students practice lesson-planning and small group teaching.

• Every Thursday: Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at noon at the Highland Country Club. We would love for anyone to come out and see what we are all about.

• Every Thursday: Bellevue Contract Bridge Game- Games will be open to the public each Thursday at Bellevue- La-Grange’s historic antebellum home. The building will open at 5:30 p.m. and play will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Players must attend in pairs and cost is $10 per person, per month. Call 706-882-9655 for information and to sign up. • 3rd Thursday Of Each Month: City of Hogansville, Town Hall Meetings-To improve communications between the citizens of Hogansville and City government, Town Hall Meetings will now be held. Questions, comments or concerns directed to the Mayor and Council as well as the City Administration may be addressed with prior request submission. If you have a question or would like to speak at any of these meetings, you must fill out a Speakers Request Form, fill it out and return it to City Hall no later than three full business days before the requested meeting. The start time is 6:00 p.m. This schedule may need to be adjusted as the needs of the City are addressed.
