• February 24-28th: Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley, Directed by Tracy Clahan Riggs. This Pulitzer Prize-winning black comedy examines the plight of three eccentric Mississippi sisters betrayed by their passions, each with a secret in her heart. Babe has shot her husband in the stomach. Country music singer wanna-be, Meg, and homebody, Lenny, are doing their best to rally around Babe and determine whether or not she’s headed to jail or to the looney bin. ‘While this play overflows with infectious high spirits, it is also, unmistakably, the tale of a very troubled family. Such is Miss Henley’s prodigious talent that she can serve us pain as though it were a piece of cake.’ – The New York Times. html, The Lab – at Price Theater, 304 Forrest Avenue, LaGrange, or (706) 880-8080. $10 Adults, $8 students, $8 seniors (age 55+), LC free.
