Ethel Kight Hosts Back To School Bash

All of the kids in the community are gearing up for their return to school this fall and are ready to make that trip. After a long and fun summer, it is time to return to the real world and once again begin the process of higher learning. However, many kids will unfortunately do without when returning to school in the next few weeks. As sad and tragic as this fact is, there are those in the community dedicated to making sure that kids do not have to go without. That is what Ethel Kight Elementary School is trying to make sure of when they hosted their back to school Thursday, July 28.

To say that the field at Ethel Kight was packed on this afternoon would be an understatement. There were kids running and laughing all around. There were so many services offered by Ethel Kight at this event. There booths for school supplies, clothing giveaways, face painting, free haircuts, corn hole, refreshments, and so much more. The kids were having the time of their life and parents got so much needed relief and some great help on the back to school season.

Over the course of the past weeks, and the coming weeks as well, our community has pulled together to make sure that kids have all that they need in order to successfully prepare for the back to school season. Various book bag drives, school supply runs, and festive celebrations have all sprung up all around La-Grange and Troup County in the hopes that no child will have to return to school this fall without the opportunity to learn at the fullest extent.
