2 Timothy 4:5-7 (KJV: “ 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of Walter David Hill’s passing. He had been sick for some time, in and out of the hospital and on July 31, 2016 he left this world to rejoin my mom and the Lord in Heaven. Before his passing, he gave me instructions to carry on his ministry and I wanted to express to each of his readers just how much each one meant to him. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure many years ago and as time progressed, kidney failure developed. I know that he had many loving readers who respected him and thought highly of him, but please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Anna Green and I am the youngest of three children, also his only daughter.
In the days before my dad passed away, his one concern was if he’d finished well. When one of his closest friends would come in, he’d express his concern to them, and of course, they would ensure him that he’d done very well in all areas of his ministry. With his seminary, pastoring, Sunday school teaching, and also his online ministry “Christ’s Corner”. My dad was far from a perfect man, but he was a Godly man, and he loved the Lord with all of his heart. He projected that and taught all of his children and whoever else would listen about it in any way he could, even sharing his family stories as he wrote his Christ’s Corners each week just to put a real life spin on what he was trying to enlighten on so that he could really touch the readers. I hope you will continue to read as we move forward into his wonderful, worldwide ministry!
In loving memory of a wonderful husband, grandfather, teacher, Pastor, Professor, Dr, and most deeply Daddy. Rest well in the arms of love and until we see you again. You finished well.
