• September 9th: The Active Life Recreation Center is pleased to announce the first Monthly Ballroom Dance, for adults of all ages, to be held the second Friday of each month. The first dance will be on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Wellness Center. Admission is $20 per couple. The Mike Skipper Band will be playing.

• September 10th: Hope for Hayleigh, presented by the Guardians RC, 107 Lovelace Road, West Point, will be held on September 10. Hayleigh is 15 years old and battling genetic chronic terminal Cystic Fibrosis. Registration is at 4 pm and Kickstands up at 5. Entertainment provided by the 3:10 Band beginning at 7 pm. Refreshment tickets available day of event. There will be a 50/50 drawing, raffle items, auction items, including a personal donation from Jeff Foxworthy. • September 11th: West Georgia Council of Christian African American Women, Inc, “A Ministry of Service” will hold a service of rededication on Sunday at 4 pm. The Words of Inspiration will be by Evangelist Ann Thomas at First Baptist Church on Fannin Street.

• September 11th: Living By Faith Worship Center, 2451 West Point Road, LaGrange, and Bishop Donald Lancaster will celebrate Annual Choir Day on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Craig Thornton and Mount Buelah Baptish Church are the guests. Come celebrate with us.

• September 13th: The Troup County Republican Women will meet on Tuesday, September 13 at Highland Country Club. Lunch is at 11:30 am and the meeting begins at 12 noon to 1:00 pm. The speaker will be Attorney Danny Daniels. Call Judy Heine at 706-884-3039 to register for lunch which is $12.

• September 17th: #Team Gavin Benefit Ride and Car Show, presented by the Guardians RC will be held on September 17. Gavin Pijnenburg is 7 years old and was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2015. This form of MD typically affects boys and is an incurable genetic disorder. Registration/Car Show starts at 9 am with a $25 entry fee. KSU/Roll Out at noon from Pine Mountain RV Resort, 8804 Hamilton Road, Pine Mountain, GA. Camping, Cabin/Yurt Rentals Available 706-663-4349. Warren G’s BBQ and Hawiian ice will be onsite for food and drink purchases. • 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Gus Valeri Memorial Chapter 31, 140 Ragland Street (Active Life Center), LaGrange, GA 30241 will hold their meetings every 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.

• 2nd and 4th Tuesday: The LaGrange Shufflers Square Dance Club dances from 7:30-9:15 pm at the Troup County Active Life Center at 140 Ragland Street. Vistors are invited to dance or view the square dancing with caller Chris Michaelson. For more information call 706-8844974.

• 2nd Tuesday Of Each Month: LaGrange City Council meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. at Council Chambers on Ridley Avenue.

• 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: The Kinship Care Support Group program meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Troup County Recreation Department. If you are a Grandparent or other relative raising grandchildren this is for you. You are not alone, help in finding resources in our community plus sharing life issues facing families today.
