Man Armed With Knife Robs Gas Station

LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where a man wielding a knife robbed a local convenience store late Tuesday night.

Early Wednesday morning about 2:41 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the Shell fuel station on Commerce Avenue in reference to reports of an Armed Robbery.

Police arrived and made contact with the store clerk, who advised that the suspect entered the store wielding a knife and demanding money. The clerk stated the unknown subject then forced them to open several cash drawers. He then grabbed the cash and fled the business.

Police have not disclosed how much money was taken during the incident.

Fortunately, the clerk was not hurt during the robbery.

The robbery suspect was described as a 35 to 45-yearold black male, standing about 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt, khaki shorts, and dark sunglasses.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section.
