Police Investigating Borton Street Shooting

 

LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where a man and woman were shot at in their vehicle Thursday night.

Thursday night about 9:32 p.m., officers with the La-Grange Police Department responded to the 600 block of Borton Street upon reports of gunshots fired in the area.

Prior to their arrival, officers were informed that a vehicle had been shot in the Borton Street area.

Officers arrived and spoke to the female victim, who stated she and a male were travelling along Borton Street when they heard shots being fired and soon afterwards their back windshield shattered.

The victim stated she was too scared to remain in the area, so she drove home before contacting police.

Police investigators also responded to the scene and confirmed the damage to the rear of the victim’s vehicle was consistent with being struck by a projectile from a firearm. Detectives also relocated to the area where the shooting took place and continued the investigation into the incident.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section.
