• October 14th: The Active Life Recreation Center is pleased to announce the Monthly Ballroom Dance, for Adults of all ages, to be held on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Wellness Center. • October 15th: 16th Annual CLCP Leggin’it for Literacy 5K & Fun Run will be held on Saturday, October 15th. Registration begins at 5:30 pm and music by Smokey Road Band. The tot trot will be at 7 pm, Zumba Warm up at 7:15 pm. 5K run at 7:30 pm, and a 1 mile run at 7:35 pm. You can register online at www.active.com. • October 18th: The LaGrange Sierra Club invites everyone to our next meeting on October 18th at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church located at 207 N. Greenwood St. Our guest speaker will be Jody Simms featuring his ‘Wildlife Photography’ presentation. Refreshments and social time begin at 6:30 PM and the meeting begins at 7PM. • 10/19/2016 5:00 pm: Manga Creator Club. The Manga Creator Club is a group for those passionate about anime/ manga and would like to come work on their own! As a group we will create our own manga, learn new techniques with our art & story-telling and perhaps take a step towards a career in manga field! • October 20 – 22: 6th Annual Merry Market will be held October 20 – October 22. Merry Market Shopping Extravaganza features over 40 vendors from throughout the Southeast selling unique and specialty items just in time for the holidays. • 10/21/2016 3:30 pm: Little Ones Art Class! Our art class especially for younger kids is back after the summer! A group of moms in our community will lead the children (ages 2-7 years) in creating simple art projects to take home. The class is limited to 20 participants, so sign up today at the library.
