Kora’s Care For St. Jude’s Mission
It’s so easy to see a St. Jude’s commercial and continue scrolling through the channels. Few people take the time to dial the 1-(800) number, and even fewer people find resourceful ways to help. However, time constraints and innovative barriers couldn’t stop Kora Schroeder from using her creativity and compassion to help the children of St. Jude.
Kora, a 10-year-old homeschooling student, has been studying childhood cancer for her academic health credit and decided to do something more than learn the facts and figures of those fighting the sickness. Her Mom, Amanda Schroeder, contacted St. Jude and asked what their family could do to help, and St. Jude responded and said that they are in desperate need of books and toys. From this information, Kora began a fundraiser to purchase these items for the children at St. Jude. So far, Kora has raised over $500 and purchased books and toys along with help from Adaleigh’s Nursery, The Medicine Cabinet, Mare Sol, her 4H group, and many family and friends.
Kora and her family will drive all of the books and toys up to St. Jude’s Atlanta campus at the end of November, so that leaves plenty of time for you, your family, or your business to pray about and consider helping Kora and her mission to support those fighting childhood cancer. Kora has several ways people can donate. She has a PayPal account set up for donations at: paypal.me/Kora Schroeder, or you can purchase your own toys and books and contact Kora at: KoraSchroeder17@gmail.com to pass along your purchased donations.
