The LaGrange Art Museum is partnering with Columbus State University and the Kohler Foundation for the fall Opening of Pasaquan, a seven-acre art environment consisting of six major structures, more than 900 feet of painted masonry fence, painted totems, decorative walkways, sculptures, and other art and artifacts. • October 29th: The Active Life, 140 Ragland Street, LaGrange (Wellness Building) will be hosting a special musical tribute to the King and Queen of Soul with a live music tribute to the legendary Otis Redding andAretha Franklin on Saturday, October 29 at 7 pm. Doors Open at 5:30pm for Dinner & 6:30pm for the Show). Performing their classic hits from 1964 to 1973 the show is a dynamic nostalgic trip back in time filled with ballads and foot stomping soul classics from two of the greatest performers in music history. • October 30th: Annual Freedom Fund & Honor Banquet for the Troup County Branch of the NAACP will be held on Sunday, October 30, starting at 6 pm at Del’avant Event Center, 141 Main Street, LaGrange. The theme this year is Passing the Legacy to the Next Generation. Keynote speaker will be Rev. Dr. Francys Johnson, Georgia NAACP State President. Tickets are $25 per person. • November 1st: LSO presents FIRE – If Music be the Food of Love on Tuesday, November 1, 7:30 PM. LaGrange Symphony Orchestra presents FIRE – If Music be the Food of Love. This concert, in honor of the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare features music by Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Leonard Bernstein. • November 3rd:Thursday Lunch Club will be held on November 3, 2016 at noon at the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church, 401 Broad Street, LaGrange. Cost is $6 per person. • November 5th: World Class Deer Mount Displays at Oakside. Trophies of Grace from NW FL will showcase their collection of world class whitetail deer mounts on November 5 at 5:30 pm. The Sportsmen’s event is free and will feature a bbq dinner, great door prizes, and ventriloquist/comedian/speaker Derek Farr from Roanoke. • 1st And 3rd Tuesday Of Each Month: Troup County Commission meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. at the Troup County Government Center with the work session being the Friday preceding.

• 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: DAV (Disabled American Veterans), GusValeri Memorial Chapter 31, 140 Ragland Street (Active Life Center), LaGrange, GA 30241 will hold their meetings every 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.
