Rosemont Elementary conducted their annual canned food drive for the Salvation Army. This has been a school wide project for a number of years. The drive culminated with an assembly where the students, with the help of student council members, displayed all the food collected by the student body.
The student council members read what each class was thankful for and then presented a skit based on the book, Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr. It was Pilgrim, pilgrim, what do you see. Captains Guy and Monica Nickum from the Salvation Army spoke to the students and thanked them for their help.
The students filled nine barrels with canned food and other items. The canned food drive and assembly was organized by the school counselor, Mrs. Natalie Doerr.
