Kora’s Care Continues This Christmas Season

Not too long ago, Kora learned of the physical and emotional hardships that young cancer patients must face every day. So, after taking a childhood cancer class, Kora decided that she would do something more than understand the reality of children’s cancer – she would change its reality for the better. Kora’s mother, Amanda (who is also Kora’s homeschooling teacher), contacted St. Jude’s Hospital in Atlanta to learn about ways Kora could help patients there.

Kora and her family learned that St. Jude has to wipe down and thoroughly clean toys and books before they can be shared between patients. So, sometimes, when there are more patients than there are toys and books, the cleaning process slows the distribution down, and children don’t have access to sanitized toys and books. Kora used this information to host bake sales, set up fun booths, and reach out to her entire community to gather toys, books, and other donations. From individuals to well known businesses, Kora was able to collect plenty of boxes filled with fun toys and books for the children of St. Jude’s Hospital.

But Kora’s outreach didn’t stop with her toy and book collection. She has now decided to partner with “Cards for a Cause” to continue raising money and awareness for childhood cancer. “Cards for a Cause” is a fundraising program created by Usborne Books & More that allows a generous amount of the proceeds sold from the special greeting cards to go straight into the donation organization.

Whether you need the “Cards for All Occasions” box, “Thanks and Blanks” box, or the “Happy Birthday Box for Kids”, Kora can help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Each box contains 30 cards for $30 – it’s an unbeatable price. Whether you need to save time as you rush from one birthday party to the next or you need to save money while stocking up on Christmas gifts, Kora’s “Cards for a Cause” fundraiser can help you save on both.

All of her proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s Hospital in Atlanta, so if you, your loved one or your business would like to participate in Kora’s handcrafted “Cards for a Cause” mission, please feel free to contact Kora at: KoraSchroeder17@gmail.c om. She also has a PayPal account set up for donations at: paypal.me/Kora Schroeder.
