Our homes are our sanctuaries, the places where we feel the safest. We make our memories there and spend great amounts of time in our lives amongst its walls. That is why it is so devastating when someone unwelcome interrupts the sanctity of our homes. Such was the case recently at an address on Saynor Circle when a couple was held at gunpoint.
On November 25 at 11:57 pm, the LaGrange Police Department responded to the 100 block of Saynor Circle in reference to an Armed Robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims. Both reported they were held at gun point and had property taken from them. The suspects were wearing masks and were dressed in all black. Two vehicles were stole from the scene, a dark color 2016 Nissan Maxima and a red in color 2011 Ford Focus.
On November 28, Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department secured arrest warrants for Jarvis D Duncan, age 35, of Marietta, Georgia, Michael Lee Fair, age 37, of Marietta, Georgia, Gerald Jerome Florence, age 34, of Powder Springs Georgia, and Lewis Antonio Shells, age 35, of LaGrange, Georgia as the result of a significant investigation. The investigation did reveal that the Saynor Circle home was targeted by the suspects.
Duncan and Fair were arrested in Marietta, Georgia on November 28 with the assistance of members of the Marietta Police Department and Cobb County Police Department. Florence and Shells have not been located as of press time. At least one other suspect is suspected to be involved but hasn’t been identified at this point Crimes such as this cannot go unchecked in our community. We must all lend a helping hand to one another to make sure that we are living in the safest community possible.
This incident is still under investigation.
