• December 1, 6:00 PM: LaGrange Christmas Parade – A Star is Born. Join us in downtown LaGrange for the 40th annual Christmas Parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is Jane Fryer, retired President of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce. Entry fee is $40 and an unwrapped child’s toy. • December 2, 6:00 pm: The Hogansville Downtown Development Authority cordially invites you to participate in the Annual Christmas Parade on Friday at 6 pm. The parade theme is “A Star is Born”. The entry categories is church, business, school, civic, industry, and first time entry. The entry fee is $10 made payable to the Hogansville DDA. • December 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 23-24: Follow The Shepherds Walks. Walks are ongoing, with the first one at 6 pm. Follow the journey of Joseph and Mary as they travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem and learn new insights into the Christmas story. These evening walks can be done in conjunction with the Christmas multi-media presentation. • December 3rd: Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc. will host their Darkness to Light Program on December 3, 10, and 17, from 9-11:30 am, at the Coleman Community Center. This is an educational program that promotes moving the topic of child sexual abuse from being shrouded in fear and denial to becoming a topic that is discussed openly by adults who are putting in place policies and procedures that protect children. • December 3rd: “Game On” Baseball Winter Infield Camp will be held on Saturday. 9:00 am – 12:00 pm for ages 7-12 and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm for ages 13-18. The Cost is $60 or $50 for Game On Members. Camp instructors will be either current or former college or professional players as well as the Game On Staff. Camps will be held at the Game On Indoor facility 100 Southern Drive, LaGrange. The lead instructor is Jared Reaves AAA shortstop with the Detroit Tigers. We have limited spots available for each camp session so that we can maintain a low player-coach ratio. • December 3rd: The Sons of LaFayette Christmas Concert will be held on December 3, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 120 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA. • December 6th: The Annual Angel of Hope Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 7 pm at the memorial site on the grounds of West Georgia Medical Center, adjacent to the hospice parking lot. This is a candlelight memorial for family, friends, and loved ones who have experienced the loss of a child.

• December 8–10: A Christmas Carol. This Christmas Carol goes beyond other adaptations with Charles Dickens himself being introduced to the audience. The story unfolds behind him, and soon Dickens is weaving in and out of the action, observing, performing small roles, interpolating short passages of rich narrative never heard in other versions.
