LaGrange Police have arrested a local man who is accused of robbery after he allegedly illegally entered a female acquaintance’s home and snatched her cell phone.
Friday morning about 7:45 a.m., LaGrange Police responded to the 600 block of Revis Street in reference to reports of a Strong Arm Robbery.
Officers arrived and made contact with the 21-year-old female victim, who advised that the father of her child, Tereyon Campbell, had broken into her residence through a window and forcibly took her cell phone from her hands before leaving the home and fleeing in a vehicle.
LaGrange Police were later able to locate Campbell at a nearby residence and he was taken into custody for the incident.
The LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section was called to the scene and as a result of their investigation, Campbell was arrested for the incident.
Campbell, age 23, was arrested and transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked into the jail and charged with Robbery by Snatching – Family Violence Act and Burglary – Family Violence Act.
This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
