Be Wary of Women Selling Items From Their Car

LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where a local man was robbed at his front door by a woman claiming to be selling items out of her car.

Wednesday afternoon about 12:47 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to 700 block of South Greenwood Street upon reports of an Armed Robbery.

Officers arrived and made contact with the 42-year-old male victim who advised he had just been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown female.

The victim explained that he was approached by the female in front of his residence in reference to allegedly selling items from her car. The victim then allowed the female into his residence and just as she entered his front door, she pointed a silver handgun at him and demanded money.

The female suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and fled the scene in what was described as a small sedan type vehicle.

The female suspect was only described as an unknown black female. No further details have been released by police at this time.

This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
