• January 11th at 5:00 pm: Manga Creator Club: The Manga Creator Club is a group for those passionate about anime/manga and would like to come work on their own! As a group we will create our own manga, learn new techniques with our art & story-telling and perhaps take a step towards a career in manga field! • January 13th: The monthly Ballroom Dance will be held on Friday, January 13, at 8 p.m. at TheActive Life Wellness Center, 140 Ragland Street, LaGrange, GA. Admission is $20 per couple. Snacks and finger foods are welcome – not mandatory. Come enjoy waltz, swing, slow dance, foxtrot, cha-cha, tango, samba, quick step, polka and more! The Mike Skipper Band will be playing. This event is open to Adults of all Ages!

• January 14th: “Game On” Baseball Winter Pitching Camp will be held on Saturday, January 14. 9:00 am – 12:00 pm for ages 7-12 and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm for ages 13-18. The Cost is $60 or $50 for Game On Members. Camp instructors will be either current or former college or professional players as well as the Game On Staff. Camps will be held at the Game On Indoor facility 100 Southern Drive, LaGrange. The lead instructor will be announced soon. We have limited spots available for each camp session so that we can maintain a low player-coach ratio. • January 16th: Library Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• January 30th: The LaGrange Police Department will be hosting a public training event on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LaGrange Police Department Training Center at 376 Aerotron Parkway. The topic will be ‘Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event’, C.R.A.S.E. Training. This training will help you prepare, if you find yourself involved in any type of active threat event where you or another person’s life if in danger. In today’s world this is very important to have and is offered free of charge. Reservations are required so please RSVP at

• Every Wednesday: Preschool Story Time at LaGrange Memorial Library at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs and a craft.

• Every Thursday: Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at noon at the Highland Country Club. We would love for anyone to come out and see what we are all about.

• Every Thursday: Beginner Ballroom Dance Lessons at the Active Life Center, 140 Ragland Street at 7:00pm. $100/Couple for 5 weeks thru October 6th. The next five week class will start October 13 thru November 10. Call for more information 706-881-2734.

• Every Thursday: Bellevue Contract Bridge Game- Games will be open to the public each Thursday at Bellevue- La-Grange’s historic antebellum home. The building will open at 5:30 p.m. and play will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Players must attend in pairs and cost is $10 per person, per month. Call 706-882-9655 for information and to sign up. Proceeds go towards the preservation of Bellevue.

• Every Wednesday and Sunday: LaGrange Street Hockey League with Troup County Park and Recreation – Meet from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Looking for players to increase the size of the league and for sponsors to help with the equipment costs. • 1st And 3rd Tuesday Of Each Month: Troup County Commission meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. at the Troup County Government Center with the work session being the Friday preceding.

• 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Gus Valeri Memorial Chapter 31, 140 Ragland Street (Active Life Center), LaGrange, GA 30241 will hold their meetings every 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.
