DASH for LaGrange, Inc. received a $1,000 grant from the Bank of Hope located LaGrange, GA. for the support of pre-purchase and credit counseling and education for low-to-moderate households in Troup County.
Bank of Hope, with its mission to provide banking and lending services to the underserved multi-ethnic population of the community, is aiming to meet the credit and banking service needs of our communities through the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) which was enacted by Congress in 1977 to encourage financial institutions to meet the credit needs of the entire communities they serve, including low and moderate income areas.
Elia Baltes, Homeownership Manager says DASH is very grateful for this community partner Bank of Hope. Together we can strengthen the financial health and well-being of people in our communities. DASH stands for Dependable, Affordable, Sustainable, Housing and provides a comprehensive mix of housing services to improve the housing stock of the community and to increase the long-term stability of renters and homeowners. Our financial fitness and credit counseling program provides one-on-one assistance to help clients meet their personal financial goals along with homebuyer and financial fitness workshops. By resolving credit issues and developing personal financial management skills, families can take control of their finances and build a solid foundation.
