Luke 11:2 (KJV): “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”
Before this verse, it says that Jesus was in a place praying and after he was done, the disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray. If you read farther down it does give a very good outline as to how to pray to our Father, but I’d like to take a moment and focus on four simple worlds in this verse.
“Thy will be done…” That, my friends, is a VERY strong statement. There is so much power in those for little words. It submits so much trust into our Lord to keep you safe, to take care of you, to be the sustaining God He promises to be. It is not an easy thing to do, but I also feel it is very important to learn that level of trust and faith in our Father. Ask the Holy Spirit to help guide you and to teach you and He surely will. John 14:26 (KJV) Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit will “teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance…”.
Stay steady, stay in prayer, intercede for each other, and remember to feed your inner spirit with the word of God every day.
