• February 21st: The LaGrange Sierra Club invites everyone to our February 21st meeting at LaGrange Library located at 115 Alford St. LaGrange, Ga. Refreshments and welcome will be at 6:30 PM and the meeting will begin at 6:45. Our guest speaker will be Neill Herring. Neill ,a veteran Sierra Club and Riverkeeper lobbyist, will present a 2017 legislative update on environmental bills. Pending legislation to be covered include transit funding, pipelines, coal ash disposal, stream buffers and regulatory reform. The 2017 Georgia GeneralAssembly session began Jan. 9 and ends on March 30. How you can get involved in the process and make a difference will be discussed. Your questions about the issues will be answered. If you are interested in clean air and clean water, this is the meeting to attend.

• February 21 6:30-8 pm: Our Sierra Club February meeting held at LaGrange Memorial Library will highlight current environmentally related bills in the 2017 Legislative Session and how YOU can make a difference by contacting your senators and representatives. Sierra Club Lobbyist Neill Herring will entertain us with his colorful stories!

• February 22 at 5:00 PM: Manga Creator Club! The Manga Creator Club is a group for those passionate about anime/manga and would like to come work on their own! As a group we will create our own manga, learn new techniques with our art & story-telling and perhaps take a step towards a career in manga field! • February 23rd at 4:30 pm: Story Scavengers: Book Club! We are starting a book club for middle readers here at the LaGrange Memorial Library. Our first book will be The Somewhat True Adventures of Sammy Shine, by Henry Cole. This book has received favorable reviews in several library journals. For a synopsis of this book, please see Publisher’s Weekly. We have a limited number of books, so registration is required. A sign-up sheet will be available at the LaGrange Memorial Library.
