• March 3rd, 4th, & 5th: The Azalea Storytelling Festival come to LaGrange College Callaway Auditorium March 3,4 5, 2017. You can catch a preview and hear one of the worlds best storytellers, Donald Davis, at LaGrange First United Methodist Church, 401 Broad Street at noon on March 2, 2017. • March 3rd: Beyond the Ropes will be held on March 3 at 7:00 PM. Join us at Legacy Museum for stories, anecdotes, and connections about select museum pieces and artifacts in our galleries by County Historian, Clark Johnson. • March 4th: Come Dance with Us at the Hogansville Active Life, 407 Church Street, Hogansville on Saturday, March 4th from 6:30 – 10:00 pm. Live Music, Doors open at 6:30 pm. Feature band Jimmy Smith and New River from 7 pm – 10 pm. Featuring special guest Kellie J. 18 & Older, $6 Admission. Bring hors d’oeuvre or dessert if you’d life.

• March 7th: Lunch and Learn Series! Join the Troup County Master Gardeners on a Free Horicultural Adventure on March 7 with Pruning Ornamental Plants, Randy Drinkard. Every first Tuesday of every month. Bring your own lunch, 12 – 1 pm at the LaGrange Memorial Library, 115 Alford Street, LaGrange. For more information call 706-882-7784.

• March 9th: Monuments and Memorials will be held on March 9, reception from 4-6 at Legacy Museum (exhibit opening). More information and reservations can be obtained by calling (706) 884-1828 or emailing info@trouparchives.org

• March 9th: Troup County Master Gardeners meeting will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Coleman Center, 701 Lincoln Street, LaGrange. Free and open to the public! March Meeting – Permaculture: The development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient.

• March 15th: The LaGrange Woman’s Club will be hosting a BBQ at Bellevue on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m until 1:30 p.m. The BBQ is being provided by Hog Heaven. Tickets are $10 and are available from Woman’s Club members. All proceeds benefit the maintenance of Bellevue.

• March 18th: Hugs for Haeley Walk-a-thon will be held on Saturday, March 18, starting at noon at the amphitheater (old post office). Haeley has cystic fibrosis which she was diagnosed at the age of six months. She is currently in UAB hospital and her lung function has dropped to the low 40’s. She’s developed several bugs in her lungs. So everyone that can come out and walk for her. I’d like for our community to come together and show support for a good cause. T-shirts are available. • March 20th: The WellStar West Georgia Medical Center Board of Trustees meets routinely on the third Monday of each month at 5:15 p.m. in the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center Board Room.

• 1st And 3rd Monday Of Each Month: Hogansville City Council meets at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 400 East Main Street, Hogansville, GA 30230; Phone 706-637-8629.

• 1st And 3rd Tuesday Of Each Month: Troup County Commission meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. at the Troup County Government Center with the work session being the Friday preceding.

• 2nd Tuesday of Each Month: DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Gus Valeri Memorial Chapter 31, 140 Ragland Street (Active Life Center), LaGrange, GA 30241 will hold their meetings every 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.

• 2nd and 4th Tuesday: The LaGrange Shufflers Square Dance Club dances from 7:30-9:15 pm at the Troup County Active Life Center at 140 Ragland Street. Vistors are invited to dance or view the square dancing with caller Chris Michaelson. For more information call 706-884-4974.

• 2nd Tuesday Of Each Month: LaGrange City Council meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. at Council Chambers on Ridley Avenue.
