• March 9th: Troup County Master Gardeners meeting will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Coleman Center, 701 Lincoln Street, LaGrange. Free and open to the public! March Meeting – Permaculture: The development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient.

• March 10th: The next Ballroom Dance will be held on Friday, March 10, at 8 p.m. $20. per couple. Dressy attire. Snacks and finger foods are welcome – not mandatory. Come enjoy waltz, swing, slow dance, foxtrot, cha-cha, tango, samba, quick step, polka and more! The Mike Skipper Band will be playing. • March 14th: Professional storyteller Carol Cain will present “Rosie the Riveter,” the tale of how women workers on the home front during World War II, at 11:15 a.m. March 14 in Dickson Assembly Room, Turner Hall at LaGrange College. Free and open to the public.

• March 15th: The LaGrange Woman’s Club will be hosting a BBQ at Bellevue on Wednesday, March 15,2017 from 11:00 a.m until 1:30 p.m. The BBQ is being provided by Hog Heaven. Tickets are $10 and are available from Woman’s Club members. All proceeds benefit the maintenance of Bellevue.

• March 18th: Hugs for Haeley Walk-a-thon will be held on Saturday, March 18, starting at noon at the amphitheater (old post office). Haeley has cystic fibrosis which she was diagnosed at the age of six months. She is currently in UAB hospital and her lung function has dropped to the low 40’s. She’s developed several bugs in her lungs. So everyone that can come out and walk for her. I’d like for our community to come together and show support for a good cause. T-shirts are available. • March 20th: The WellStar West Georgia Medical Center Board of Trustees meets routinely on the third Monday of each month at 5:15 p.m. in the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center Board Room.

• March 25th: The LaGrange College Panther Club will host its inaugural skeet shoot at 1 p.m. March 25 at Big Red Oak Plantation in Gay to raise funds for student athletes. This new event will help give LC athletes access to better facilities, amenities and equipment. Cost to enter is $125, which includes dinner and ammunition for the event. • April 1st: West Point Lake Wildlife Cruise will be held on April 1 from 2-4 pm at Highland Marina Resort. Hop onboard Chattahoochee Riverkeeper’s 44 ft. pontoon boat the Miss Sally for a cruise on West Point Lake where you will have an opportunity to learn about the fish and birds that frequent the lake environment. Experts from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Army Corps of Engineers and Audubon Society will be your guides. You will also learn about how Chattahoochee Rivekeeper is doing to keep “the Hooch” clean. Binoculars will be available for bird watching. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per child. • April 4th: Lunch and Learn Series! Join the Troup County Master Gardeners on a Free Horicultural Adventure on April 4 with Gardening to Attract Hummingbirds. Every first Tuesday of every month. • Every Wednesday: Preschool Story Time at LaGrange Memorial Library at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs and a craft.

• Every Thursday: Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at noon at the Highland Country Club. We would love for anyone to come out and see what we are all about.
