Romans 1:16 (KJV): “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
In each Christian’s walk, there are times when we come across a circumstance that we have the choice to either profess the gospel or to keep quiet. Now, in my own personal experience, I KNOW that it is much easier to just keep quiet and let the world continue to spin around us so that we don’t make waves. Most times when we start to speak about the Lord and the things He has done for us, we are judged, looked down on, mocked, and even cast away. Even our family and closest of friends would judge the changes that take place in our lives through Christ.
Over time and through the things I’ve been through, I have learned that life is so short. Even the scripture says that life is but a vapor (James 4:14) and we don’t know what will happen. I encourage each one of you to learn to be unashamed of our Lord. Be mindful of your surroundings, but never be ashamed of the graces and mercies our Lord shows to YOU each day. Never be ashamed of the miracles that our Lord does in YOUR life and YOUR circumstances. He loves us with a love no one can change.
