Police Looking Into Bull Street Robbery

LaGrange Police are investigating a Robbery by Force where a local teen apparently wanted money for the return of a cell phone and wasn’t about to walk away empty handed.

Saturday night about 7:38 p.m., officers took a walk-in report at the La-Grange Police Department in reference to a Robbery.

Officers met with the female victim, who stated she had just been robbed in the rear parking lot of the Bank of America on Main Street. The female explained that she had agreed to meet with a young male she knew in an attempt to get him to return an iPhone 6 belonging to her daughter.

The victim stated she met with two young subjects in the parking lot at the intersection of Bull Street and Broome Street and agreed to exchange money for the return of the cell phone. The victim stated that after a disagreement over the transaction, one of the males reached into her vehicle and snatched an undisclosed amount of cash from her hand.

The two suspects then got into a silver Nissan Altima and fled the area.

The victim was familiar with at least one of the suspects, but they are both believed to be juveniles.

The suspects were only described by police as juvenile black males.

This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section.
