LaGrange Police are looking for a male and female involved in an incident where a man was brutally pistol whipped on Hogansville Road behind a convenience store.
Wednesday evening about 6:33 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the Well Star West Georgia Medical Center on Vernon Road in reference to reports of a subject injured in an assault.
Police arrived and made contact with the victim, who stated that a known subject had attacked and pistol whipped him in the parking lot behind the PCA Foods convenience store on Hogansville Road.
The victim explained that he was walking down Hogansville Road with his cousin, when a car pulled up beside him and the male passenger pulled out a revolver and pointed it at them.
The victim was familiar with both the passenger and the female driver, but could only give partial names for both subjects.
Once the male pointed the gun at them, the victim and his cousin then ran behind the PCA Foods store and attempted to escape. The victim was unable to get away though. He stated the man grabbed him by the back of his shirt and then struck him in the back of the head with the handgun.
The victim advised he attempted to fight back and defend himself, but the male struck him in the face and head several more times with the pistol. The assailant then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
Police also spoke to cousin who was reportedly involved with the incident, but did not want to give a statement.
Officers reviewed security video from the PCA Foods store that captured the suspect’s vehicle, but police were unable to identify the car make or the read the tag number. Officers noted the video also did not capture the actual attack.
Using the information provided by the victim, police were not immediately able to identify either the assailant or the female driver.
The assailant was described as a 30 to 35-yearold black male. The female was described as light skinned black female woman, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 190 lbs. She was estimated at 20 to 25 years old.
