Domestic Snatch and Grab Robberies Still Under Investigation

LaGrange Police are investigating a pair of domestic incidents as robberies after two separate males fought with their girlfriends and snatched their cell phones.

The first incident allegedly occurred on April 19. Officers with the LaGrange Police Department were dispatched to the incident on North Cary Street in reference to a Robbery by Sudden Snatching.

Police arrived and spoke with the female victim, who stated that the father of her child, Corderde’z Robinson, had come to the location to visit their child. During the visit, she and Robinson got into an argument and he allegedly snatched the victim’s cell phone from her hand. He then allegedly fled the location in a vehicle with the cell phone.

Police attempted to locate Robinson, but were not immediately able to make contact with him.

The second incident allegedly occurred a few days later, late Friday night. About 2:55 a.m. Saturday morning LaGrange Police responded to the 100 block of Dix Street in reference to a similar disturbance.

Police spoke with the female victim, who stated that her boyfriend Patrick Kimbrough came over to her residence and a physical altercation later ensued. She stated that she and Kimbrough had been fighting over her cell phone when he allegedly bit her left thumb and snatched the telephone. Kimbrough then fled the area on foot.

Both incidents are still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section.
