Magical World Of Music Opens This Weekend At LSPA!

The Young Singers of West Georgia are busy preparing for their Spring Concert: The Magical World of Music, to be held on Saturday, May 6 at 3pm at New Community Church in LaGrange. The production features approximately one hundred students, ages 8-18.

Guests will enjoy a variety of music, including classical, jazz, Broadway, and pop with themes such as happiness, believing in your dreams, magic, and flying. This concert also features songs in foreign languages, specific for this concert are South African and Latin pieces, and the girls will be singing a well-known French Song from the opera Lakme. The amount of talent on display from the students in Young Singers is inspiring as they surprise the audience with fun and entertainment throughout the show.

Young Singers of West Georgia extends beyond the stage with weekly classes, multiple performances throughout the year, and special trips that enhance the program as a whole. Stacey Hardigree, the conductor and artistic director, has designed the program to focus on learning proper and healthy vocal technique, stage presence, musical artistry, and team work.

The Magical World of Music will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 3 pm at New Community Church, located at 1200 South Davis Road in LaGrange, GA.
