Troup County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for help from the public in tracking down suspects from a recent burglary.
On Sunday May 28, Troup County Sheriff’s Deputies received reports of a Residential Burglary in the 800 block of Vernon Ferry Road.
Sheriff’s Investigators responded to the rural area break-in and spoke to the resident who advised deputies that many items had been stolen from their home.
Investigators documented numerous items that were taken during the burglary, but they have released information on a few of the items in hopes of possibly identifying the potential suspect(s). The items stolen include: a 9mm Ruger pistol, a black 12 gauge Mossberg Shotgun with a pistol grip, a Traxx brand remote controlled car, and a black 2016 Honda TRX 500 fourwheeler with aftermarket wheels.
The suspect(s) also took approximately $200 worth of gold one dollar coins that the victim had been collecting.
So far, sheriff’s deputies have not released information on any potential suspects, but this incident is still under active investigation by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section.
