Lincoln Anderson of La-Grange Academy signed with the LaGrange College Panthers basketball team this past Thursday, June 8. Anderson played at LaGrange Academy his Junior and Senior years under Head Coach Britt Gaylor. During his two years, Anderson was a two time Division AA All-Region player and two time Division AA All-State player. In addition, he represented Georgia in the GISA-SCISA All Star Game this past March where he started as the small forward and with 12 points, was one of the leading scorers. Academically, Anderson graduated from La-Grange Academy with a 4.3 GPA and was a member of the Rube Goldberg Science team that won state championship and participated in the national championship Coach Gaylor is excited about this opportunity for Anderson to play under Coach Kendal Wallace and expects that he will make an immediate impact on their program. Coach Gaylor commented that Anderson is a “phenomenal athlete. He is the hardest worker that I have ever coached. In addition he is a great leader.”
We found Anderson this Friday full of smiles and working with young athletes at the LaGrange Academy basketball camp. Coach Gaylor says “he always loves helping younger kids – both in the camps and in [our] program – he understands how to help them develop their game.”
So what is there for Anderson outside of basketball? Food – yes, he is a “foodie” who loves to try the more exotic dishes – and he says the most interesting so far has been a dish made with the thyme gland of a goat!
Congratulations to Lincoln Anderson and we look forward to following him as a Panther!
