There is no denying that life can be difficult at times. We face battles that we never thought we would have to face and it can really get you down. However, no matter the fight, win lose or draw, what’s truly important are those that you have surrounded yourself with and how well you all support each other. That is the case for Bruce Zamelsky and this upcoming Saturday, you can help out a fellow friend form the community that needs your help.
Bruce Zamelsky is a retired firefighter/paramedic. Bruce is also one of the brave men and women that served his Country on the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Recently Bruce was diagnosed with a rare disease, Cholangiocarinoma, which is a very rare and aggressive kind of cancer. Bruce and his family need your help and as such, they are hosting a huge community event this upcoming Saturday, June 24th to help with Bruce’s illness.
That Saturday, June 24th, there will be a benefit ride in honor of Bruce Zamelsky. All vehicles are welcome at this event. The event will take place at the Elk’s Lodge, located at 905 S Davis Road here in LaGrange. Registration for the event will take place at 9 am, with the ride kicking off at 11 and lunch at 12. There is a $25 vehicle registration which includes 1 lunch ticket (additional tickets will be available for $5). There will be door prizes, a bounce house, and a silent auction for many items, including two 50” Smart TV’s. T-shirts will be available for preorder and on sale at the event. Donations may be made at any Charter Bank location to the Bruce Zamelsky Benefit Fund.
This will be an incredible event for an even more incredible cause. This is how a community can come together during a difficult time and show their support for one another. We all fall on hard times and how we help each others during these times is truly how we grow together as a community. So come on out this Saturday to the Bruce Zamelsky Benefit Ride and help support this family. Contact bzbenefit2017@ yahoo.com for more information.
