LaGrange Police are investigating a late-night incident where gunshots were fired at a local residence. No one was injured, but police still have questions as to how and why the incident occurred.
The incident and subsequent investigation began Wednesday night about 10:40 p.m. Officers with the La-Grange Police Department were called to the 200 block of East Crovat Street in reference to reports of gunshots fired at a residence.
Police arrived and made contact with one of the victims, who stated he was walking home when he got into a verbal confrontation with a subject he only knows as ‘Booga.’ The victim stated the two when exchanged words and the ‘Booga’ subject fired several gunshots at him.
Fortunately, the adult male victim was not injured, but several of the bullets struck the residence which was occupied by the victim’s mother and juvenile sibling.
This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
Police are asking for help from anyone who may be able to identify the “Booga” suspect or provide additional information to close this case.
