Police Searching for Domestic Violence Suspect

LaGrange Police are looking for a local man who is accused of throwing around his girlfriend and choking her during a domestic incident.

Thursday afternoon about 2:50 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police responded to the 300 block of Brown Street in reference to reports of a domestic dispute.

Police arrived and made contact with the female victim, who advised she had become involved in a physical confrontation and was attacked by her boyfriend, Desean Salter.

The victim told police that Salter body slammed her to the ground and began choking her. Salter then fled the scene.

Officers say the victim had injuries consistent with being choked and the incident allegedly occurred in front of two young children.

Police attempted to locate and make contact with Salter, but they have been unable to locate him as of press time.

Warrants were later issued for Salter’s arrest for Aggravated Assault – Family Violence Act, and two counts of Third Degree Cruelty to Children.

This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
