Police are investigating an armed robbery that allegedly occurred early Monday morning in the Lee’s Crossing area of LaGrange.
Monday morning about 6 a.m., officers with the La-Grange Police Department responded to the Lee’s Crossing Apartments on Old Airport Rd in reference to an Armed Robbery.
Officers arrived and made contact with the victim and complainant, who stated he had just been robbed by two unknown males.
The victim explained that he had walked outside of his apartment when he was approached by two unknown males. One of the males then brandished a handgun and the other pulled a knife and demanded his wallet. The victim stated he then handed the subjects his wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victim and assailants then became involved in a brief physical struggle, after which the subjects fled the scene in a white pickup truck in an undisclosed direction.
The victim was transported to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center where he received treatment for undisclosed non-life-threatening injuries he received during the assault.
The suspects were only described as unknown black males, possibly in their thirties. The suspect vehicle was only described as a white pickup truck of unknown make or model. This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
