LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where an unknown man allegedly intentionally stuck a vehicle and then threatened the victims with a gun.
Saturday afternoon about 4:40 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the area of Jenkins Street and Vernon Road in reference to reports of a Hit & Run and a person with a gun.
Officers arrived and spoke with the complainant, who stated she was riding in a Honda Civic with her ex-boyfriend when they observed a white Ford Mustang had begun following them.
She stated the Mustang then drove around them at the railroad tracks and intentionally swung in front of the Civic causing a collision of the front of their vehicle and the passenger side of the Mustang in an attempt to stop them.
She stated an unidentified black male with dread locked hair then got out of the vehicle brandishing a silver handgun and began yelling, ‘What did you do to my brother?’
The female stated she then got out of the vehicle and told him they did not do anything to his brother. The unknown assailant then went toward her ex, so he drove off in the vehicle, abandoning her. The unknown male then got back into his vehicle and drove off after the Civic.
Police then transported the female home and then relocated to Whitesville Elementary where officer met with her ex-boyfriend.
He then advised that the male got close enough to him to grab and rip his shirt through the window, so he fled the scene in the Civic.
Police later relocated back to the original complainant’s residence and spoke to her and a friend. They explained that the attack may have been related to an earlier incident at their residence involving an unknown boy. The friend provided officers with a photo of who looked like the male in the Mustang, but the victim could not positively say that he was the actual suspect.
This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
