Pizza Robber Flees Empty Handed

Late Saturday night about 9:05 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the Pizza Hut on Commerce Avenue in reference to reports of an attempted robbery.

Officers arrived and made contact with one of the restaurant’s delivery drivers, who advised someone attempted to rob him while delivering some pizzas.

The victim explained that he went to the 1400 block of Elm Street to deliver some pizzas when an unknown female approached him and attempted to forcibly take his bag of pizzas. A physical struggle then ensued and the victim managed to hold onto the bag, so the female suspect fled on foot empty handed.

The female reportedly attempted to snatch the pizza bag just outside the residence where the order was being delivered.

The suspect was described as a short, heavyset black female wearing a dark blue pullover.

No further details have been released by police at this time.
