Nissan of LaGrange Holds Ribbon Cutting at New Facility

This past week, a storied and long awaited event finally came to fruition on Tuesday, August 29th. La-Grange and Troup County are incredible areas for the automotive industry to set up shop. With Kia bringing their warehouse and several other dealerships here in town, buying a car has never been easier and more affordable. One of the long time and highest rated dealerships here in town finally made the move that they had been planning for a long time when the new Nissan dealership held its ribbon cutting and grand opening for the public early that Tuesday morning.

For many years, your local Nissan dealership made its home here in the community at their location on Commerce Avenue. Making the turn out onto Commerce from the storefront was a difficulty and the decision was finally made to invest in a new building, built from the ground up. Their search led them to theirnewhomeat1050Lafayette Parkway, one of the main corridors leading into downtown LaGrange. Two years ago, a large group descended upon the newly cleared ground for a ground breaking ceremony. Now, in the end of summer just two years later, the new Nissan dealership is now open for business.

The new dealership was packed that morning, not only with brand new cars but also with many of the community’s leaders and supporters. One by one they filed into the gorgeous new facility and awaited the Chamber’s ribbon cutting. The new cars were presented perfectly on the show floor and people carried on conversations all around the building. After the group made their way outside for the ribbon cutting, there were warm welcomes from County Commission Chair Patrick Crews, Mayor Jim Thornton, and Chamber Chairman John Asbell. Nissan owner and operator Hutch Pine and his crew then cut the ribbon, officially welcoming the new facility.

This new facility is a wonderful addition on many fronts. First of all, the corridor at exit 18, as well as exit 13, is planned for massive restructuring and beautification. Now Nissan will set just a few miles in off of that exit. This is also another huge amenity to the local Chamber of Commerce and all of the hard work that their team puts in on a daily basis. With their new facility, winning prices, and excellent customer service, the new Nissan facility on the Parkway will be a great asset for car buyers and the community at large for many years to come.
