The Holiday Campground is closed to Hurricane Irma evacuees.

The campground was initially on the list of shelter sites released by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency for evacuees but it has since been closed. Evacuees were encouraged to travel away from the path of the storm.

Please use caution in the next couple days.

Please bring in your garbage bins and secure lawn furniture, planters, etc. They could become projectiles.

If you have flooding or a fallen tree in public right of way, please call the City of LaGrange public works department at (706) 883-2100.

Also, please do not touch downed power lines.

Should widespread power outages occur, please help us keep our phone lines open for emergency calls. We will post updates on our Facebook page. Crews do not respond to individual outages until all main lines have been restored, so please wait until your neighbors have power and your service is still out before contacting us at 706.883.2130.

The City of LaGrange is encouraging residents to stay off of the roadways.

If anyone is hurt or in danger, please call 911.

Please do not tie up 911 if there is not an emergency.

Please be safe.
