Teen Arrested for Motorcycle Theft

Police have arrested a teen on felony theft charges after he was allegedly caught redhanded pushing a stolen motorcycle.

Monday afternoon about 12:22 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the area of Bell Street near Hamilton Road in reference to information about a stolen motorcycle.

Officers were advised that the stolen bike was heading toward Cedar Street.

Police then arrived in the area and found a shirtless male pushing a motorcycle across the parking lot of Yarbrough Financing.

The male, later identified as Damareon Markell Woodard, was then detained pending further investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Woodard, age 17, was arrested and charged with Felony Auto Theft.

The motorcycle, valued at $2,000, was recovered by police.

This incident is still under investigation by the La- Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
