Home Invasion Robbery Reported on Murphy Avenue

LaGrange Police are investigating a Home Invasion Robbery that reportedly occurred late Sunday morning.

Police responded to the 600 block of Murphy Avenue about 11:23 a.m. Sunday morning upon reports of an Armed Robbery.

Officers made contact with the male and female victim, who reported that an armed male forced his way into their residence and held them at gun point. The assailant reportedly forced them to a back bedroom where he tied up the female and took money and from both victims.

The assailant then fled the residence in an unknown direction. The victims were then able to escape and went to a neighbor’s house to call 911.

Police set up perimeter and searched the surrounding area, but they were ultimately unable to locate the assailant.

The suspect is described as a tall black male standing about 6 foot 2 to 6 foot 6 inches tall. The male was estimated to be in his 40s, weighing about 250 pounds.

This incident is still under investigation by the La-Grange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
