Kleen-Tex Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Chamber Ribbon Cutting

In 1967, a small, local company began here in the LaGrange/Troup County Community. This company, Kleen-Tex, was a producer of high quality floor mats, with their first line of rubber backed mats launching in 1970. This began a journey that would culminate with Kleen-Tex becoming an international company that now has locations in Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Brazil. They provide their mats all across the world and have become an industry leader. All of this springs from a small business venture here in our community, a true LaGrange success story. This past Tuesday afternoon, November 21st, the group celebrated their 50th anniversary and the launch of their new Studio 67 line, with a ribbon cutting by our local Chamber of Commerce.

On that Tuesday afternoon, many dignitaries from the Chamber and other local business leaders came out to the Kleen-Tex location at 109 Lukken Industrial Dr. in order to celebrate with the team and see their huge selection of mats during their sample sell. There were many beautifully designed rugs spread throughout the warehouse, perfect additions to any one’s shopping list this Christmas season. The ribbon cutting that afternoon also celebrated the launch of the Studio 67 line of products, mats that are washer and dryer safe with stylish designs. After those in attendance were able to shop around for a little while, the group made their way to the front, introduced their teams, and cut the ribbon.

This makes another ribbon cutting for the La-Grange/Troup County Chamber of Commerce. Over the past month or so, the group has had a plethora of these events with new businesses popping up or existing businesses expanding to new heights. This momentum has carried in to the Christmas season where the Chamber will have a hand in many of the event s that are about to take place. In the coming weeks, with Christmas nearly upon us, the Chamber will continue this role all the way through 2018 in what will prove to be a game changing year for commerce and industry all throughout our community.
