Carriage Rides “Jingle all the Way” Through Downtown LaGrange this Winter

The Christmas season is in full swing for 2017. Everyone is out shopping for gifts, stocking up on food for Christmas dinner, and enjoying the winter weather. While you’re out and about with your family in Downtown LaGrange this holiday season, perhaps taking advantage of some of the city’s newest offers like skating at Sweetland on Ice or trying out a Frios popsicle in one of their December flavors, make sure to stop by the corner of Bull Street and Vernon Road and take a carriage ride around the square.

LaGrange’s Downtown Development Authority offers free carriage rides every year around Christmas time. This is a festive and fun activity for all ages, and it’s an annual family tradition for many residents of Troup County. In addition to the horse and carriage rides, children are able to enjoy sleigh rides around the square, pulled by LaGrange’s favorite local mini horse, Firebug. Don’t forget to bring your Christmas lists to the Square, because Santa holds a meet and greet photo opportunity as well.

If you’d like to check out any of these fun and free activities, they will continue until right before Christmas and the hours are: Horse and Carriage Rides: Thursday 4:00pm-8:00pm Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm Saturday and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Children’s Sleigh Rides: Saturday and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Santa Meet and Greet: Saturday 1:00pm-4:00pm
