What are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

The age old question haunts the holiday season every year. Songs have been written about it, people are always asking, and yet it seems that New Year’s Eve plans continue to get made at the last minute. Everyone gets so wrapped up in Christmas that New Year’s Eve plans tend to be decided on in the week between Christmas and New Year’s. The usual options of a friend’s party, some family affair, or just staying at home are perfectly fine, but there are a surprising amount of options for those looking to secure some interesting New Year’s Eve plans all around Troup County as well.

For the 21 and up crowd looking for some classic, but still unique fun this New Year’s, there are plenty of choices available December 31st.

LaGrange’s newest bar, 86’d, will be hosting their 2018 NYE All White Party for attendees to dress their best all in white. From 8pm-1am DJ Tyson will be playing music and 86’d will be giving away prizes at midnight. There are only 98 slots for this party, so be sure to make reservations in advance. Tickets include open bar for beer and well drinks. Advance tickets are $30 and General Admission is $45 at the door if they’re available.

Wild Leap, LaGrange’s own brewery, always has fun events and is hosting their Brew Year’s Eve party from 8pm-1am. DJ Verse will be playing music while attendees enjoy the 5-hour open beer bar with special, one night only beers. At midnight, Wild Leap will have their first annual Keg Drop. Tickets for the Brew Year’s Eve party are $36.08 for presale and $41.74 at the door if available.

As they do every year, LaGrange’s Brickhouse Grille will be hosting their NYE Party. There’s no cover for this 9pm event, but there will be drink specials, dinner specials, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. After listening to music from DJ Sun, a midnight balloon drop worth $1,000 will welcome attendees into 2018.

The fun this New Year’s doesn’t stop at the LaGrange city limits, West Point and Hogansville are also hosting events this year.

The Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse in West Point is hosting West Point’s Possum Drop. From 8pm-1am, attendees will enjoy a tapas buffet, draft beer, live music, and a toast as the possum drops at midnight. Tickets are $30 and include a $10 credit on a possum pass.

A new addition to Hogansville, Great Southern Public House is hosting their first New Year’s Eve event. Their New Year’s Countdown Party will take place from 8pm-1am and promises great music, fun games, and good food. Early bird tickets are $5 plus a $2.33 fee and General Admission is $12 plus a $2.72 fee. The price of admission includes a glass of champagne for a midnight toast. crowd, there is also plenty to do for families as well. Kids that want to stay up until midnight can enjoy 7pm-7am skating at both Red’s and Turnaround skating rinks. Turnaround’s 2018 NYE All Night Skate will have games, prizes, and a midnight balloon drop. Admission is $20 and includes skate rental.

Red’s Skating Rink’s Ring in the New Year with Red’s will host a balloon drop, games, party favors, and a Lighting of the Cross at midnight. This family friendly event’s admission price is $10.
