Reward Offered for Lady Elaine Street Murder

The Troup County Crime Stoppers have offered a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the subject(s) responsible for the murder of Antonio M. Harris.

Harris, age 31, was killed around 9 p.m. on January 29th during an incident where unknown suspects fired numerous gunshots into a house on Lady Elaine Street in La-Grange.

Police say the shots came from the roadway area in front of the home. At this time, investigators do not know if the shooting was a drive-by shooting or if the suspect(s) were outside their vehicle before firing.

Witnesses spotted a vehicle fleeing the area immediately after the incident.

Harris was reportedly struck in the chest during the incident. He was later declared deceased on scene.

Two adults and two children were inside the home with Harris at the time of the incident, but no one else was hurt. That in itself appears to have been miraculous. Over 20 bullets were reportedly fired into the residence.

Due to the number of shots fired, police suspect that more than one shooter may have been involved.

This incident is still under active investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section, but no suspects have been identified at this time. In order to help with this case, the Troup County Crime Stoppers have offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspect(s) responsible for Harris’ murder.
