Every year, the City of LaGrange and Troup County add some truly incredible businesses to their already deep well of economic developments. Our community continues to grow by leaps and bounds with new industry fighting for ways to get in on what is perhaps the fastest growing development in the entire state of Georgia. While large corporations and retail are targeting LaGrange, so too are smaller, more family focused industries as well, sequels to the mom and pops from years ago. These are businesses where people know who you are and you feel like family walking through the door. Last year, the West Georgia Boat Center was one of those businesses that opened its doors at the new location, 225 E Render Street. This past Saturday, February 17th, the boat center held its first ever Big Splash event at their location.
The Big Splash event at the West Georgia Boat Center was a community style event that brought many together for unity and big laughs. There were prizes/ giveaways, various games and activities, delicious food, and of course, boats. There were games for the kids to throw a ball of pretend to catch a fish. Tables were set up from different agencies such as the Department of Natural Resources, Paula Waldron of State Farm, and the Southern Charm Vintage Marketplace. Even Robbie and Bubba the Bear from The Bear 92.5 were on hand. This is Boat Center’s biggest event of the year and an early celebration for the boating weather that will soon be upon us.
The West Georgia Boat Center is your place to be for all the latest in boating needs and equipment. All of the new boats are lined up in the newly renovated store front. In fact, West Georgia Boat Center offers a variety of products such as Mako, Nitro, Regency, Tracker, and more. Some of these boats were on display as people packed into the store front. With summer right around the corner, there has never been a better time to stop by and see all of the incredible deals to get ready for the sunshine and the fun.
