LaGrange Police have arrested a local man on several domestic violence charges after he allegedly dragged a female into his residence and held her against her will.
Tuesday afternoon about 12:57 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the area of Jefferson Street and Clark Street in reference to reports of a fight in progress.
Troup 911 told officers a witness reported that a male had assaulted a female and dragged her into a home in the 500 block of South Lee Street.
Police were familiar with the home and the resident, Donqavius Mondrez Henderson, as he was known to have previous domestic violence incidents.
After confirming that Henderson had outstanding warrants for Family Violence Battery, officers surrounded the residence and attempted to get him to come out of the home, but he initially refused.
After giving numerous verbal commands for the occupants to exit the house, the female victim and Henderson exited without further incident.
Henderson was then placed under arrest for the previous domestic violence warrant.
As a result of the investigation, Henderson was also determined to be the primary aggressor in the current incident and he was charged with three more domestic violence offenses. Henderson, age 22, was arrested and transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked into the jail charged with two counts of Battery – Family Violence Act, Kidnapping – Family Violence Act (Felony), and False Imprisonment – Family Violence Act (Felony).
Henderson is currently being held at the Troup County Jail where he was denied bond.
