The Kiwanis Club of West Point Introduced the TERRIFIC KIDS Program to the Kids of C.A.R.E.S

Members of the Kiwanis Club of West Point introduced the TERRIFIC KIDS program to the kids of C.A.R.E.S. afterschool program. ‘TERRIFIC’ is an acroynm for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, Capable.

‘TK’ is a student recognition program working with teachers and mentors to improve their attendance, school work, behavior, relationships and to learn life skills … soft skills are important … communication, making decisions, showing commitment, attitude, time management, leadership skills, creativity and problem-solving skills, being a team player, accepting responsibility and the ability to work under pressure.

Pictured are the kids who achieved success and accomplished goals for the first month.

The Kiwanis Club of West Point meets at Railroads the 2nd and 4th Monday at noon. Our goal is to serve the children of West Point, Lanett and Troup County —-‘one child and one community at a time’. Please join us for lunch and see what we are planning in the community.
