The historic Bellevue mansion and a beautiful spring day was the setting for LaGrange’s downtown businesses to show off the clothes and accessories they’ll be offering this season. Hosted by the La-Grange Woman’s Club and Downtown LaGrange Development Authority, this fashion show drew an excited crowd. Models for each of the stores walked through the rooms of the mansion for people to admire and ask questions. Decked out head to toe in spring staples, these ladies and gents showed off spring must-haves like sunhats, statement necklaces, flatform sandals, and jumpsuits, to name a few. Downtown showed out in style, and attendees enjoyed getting to see all the different options LaGrange has to offer.
Almost every Downtown clothing store was represented that afternoon, with Elliebelle’s, An Affair to Remember, Ye Olde Red Door Antiques, Marketplace at Lafayette Square, Solomon’s Department Store, R & B Consignment, Boutique on Main, Plum Southern, Bradley’s Antiques, Stephen’s Exclusives, and Merle Norman Studio all showcasing their best. After a crowd-pleasing, classic Bellevue lunch, the models made their way down the stairs to display their clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Everyone loved getting to see LaGrange’s downtown shops at their finest. The food, friendly faces, and fun made this event a huge success. Proceeds from the fashion show tickets went towards maintaining Bellevue.
Both of these local groups have events throughout the year to keep people involved in LaGrange. The Downtown’s next event will be their Sip & Shop on May 11th where visitors will be able to enjoy a beverage while shopping at the downtown stores, and Bellevue will host their annual Christmas Tea in December.
