•The Three Rivers Regional Commission is holding Public Listening Sessions on its Regional Plan Update in several communities throughout the ten-county region. You are encouraged to come help shape the future of our region. This invitation is extended to local residents, elected officials, business stakeholders, community representatives and other key leaders. We are soliciting your views on issues such as housing, transportation, and economic development. Your input is valuable to the development of our new Five-Year Regional Plan Update. The Listening Session Schedule is as follows:

•October 17, 2018 – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Spalding County Senior Center – 885 Memorial Drive, Griffin, GA

•October 18, 2018 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm The Burson Center – 500 Old Bremen Rd, Carrollton, GA

•October 23, 2018 – 10:00 am — 12:00 pm Barnesville Civic Center – 685 Forsyth St., Barnesville, GA

•October 23, 2018 – 6:00 pm — 8:00 pm Michael Daniel Recreation Center – 1220 Lafayette Pkwy, LaGrange, GA

•October 24, 2018 – 10:00 am — 12:00 pm Fairgrounds Conference Center – 275 Pine Rd., Newnan, GA

•AA Meeting times at Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall Street, LaGrange. Saturday- 8 am, 10:30 a.m. (Women’s), 1 p.m., 7 p.m.; Sunday- 10 a.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m.; Monday & Friday- Noon, 6 p.m., 8 p.m.; Wednesday-also has a 8 a.m. meeting. For additional information please call, 706-884-6993.

• Every Monday: The Optimist Club of LaGrange meets for lunch every Monday at noon at the Mike Daniel Recreation Center. We would love for anyone to come out and see what we are all about. •Every Tuesday & Wednesday: No matter what your problem with food-compulsive undereating, overeating, food addiction, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating,purging by vomiting or laxative use, or over exercising. There is a solution. You are not alone anymore!!! The meetings has no cost or dues. It will take place at First Baptist on the Square Church Street on Tuesday at 7:15 pm and Wednesday at 1 pm. •Every Tuesday and Friday: Oil Painting Classes: From 12 to 4 p.m.

at the Active Life Senior Center, 140 Ragland Street, LaGrange, GA.

Beginners or advanced are welcome. Open to all adults, 55 and over.

•Every Wednesday: Preschool Story Time at LaGrange Memorial Library at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs and a craft. •Every Thursday: Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at noon at Highland Country Club.

We would love for anyone to come out and see what we are all about. •Every Thursday: Celebrate Recovery (a self help program for anyone with hurts, habits, hangups). Join us every Thursday evening_ dinner served 6pm, if you wish, followed by program 6:30-8pm. Held in the First Baptist Church on the Square’s Family Life Center Chapel. •October 22, 2018 5:30-7:30 PM, Elms & Roses Garden Council and Hills & Dales lecture: Seeking Eden: A Collection of Georgia’s Historic Gardens with co-authors Staci Catron, Cherokee Garden Library Director and garden preservationist, Mary Ann Eaddy. Event is at Del’avant; 5:30 pm: refreshments, book sales/signing, plant sales by Jason Powell, Petals from the Past; lecture: 6:30. Tickets: $20/ticket or $15/ticket for Hills & Dales members. Advanced ticket purchase recommended. •November 3, 2018 An AARP Drivers Safety Class will be held on Nov. 3rd at the Grantville Library. The class will start at 10:00 and is open to ALL ages. You do not have to be anAARP member to attend. The class will cover the new rules of the road and also review new GAdriving laws. Class costs: $15 for AARP members and $20 for non members. •Mondays: The “Movers and Shakers” Line Dance class will be held at Springfield Baptist Church / Hogansville, GA on Mondays at 6pm to 7pm. Class is free.
